Terms & Conditions for Praslin And La Digue day trips

To ensure that there are no hidden costs and for maximum customer satisfaction please consider the extra associated costs with the trip and true advice by carefully reading our terms and conditions / or have paid for the cancellation waiver (read cancellation waiver policy while booking).

  • This company reserves the right to cancel or postpone any trip if the sea condition and weather is found unsafe for passengers and crew.
  • The company will not cancel a trip or entertain any refunds during the time period less than 24 hours to trip start, if the guests decide on their part to cancel or not participate by personal judgement on weather conditions other than that of a call to cancel by the company.
  • Payment is done online via credit cards (visa or Mastercard) we do not accept payments from American express cards.
  • For last minutes reservation whereby, a payment could not be done online, guest will have to contact us, and arrangements made to pay to the skipper prior to boarding boat provided there is availability for that day.
  • Cutoff time for online bookings is 48 hrs prior to trip.
  • A full payment for this trip is done through our online booking system.
  • In the event that a guest, upon taking part and arriving on Praslin wishes to discontinue his/her participation with the group and wanting to return to Mahe by alternative means, this company will not entertain a refund but will assist in any way possible with the logistics of returning either by ferry service or domestic flights on the expense of the guest entirely.
  • In the event that the vessel encounters mechanical or technical issues and cannot proceed with the trip the company will organize a similar vessel to continue the trip or if not, all passengers will be fully refunded, and trip cancelled or postponed.
  • A refund procedure requested after an online payment is done, will take 3 to 6 working days to settle.
  • If for any reason arising that the vessel cannot terminate the trip due to safety or security of passengers, the company will bear full responsibility for finding a return trip to Mahe island by ferry/Flight services although the time schedule may differ than the agreed program.
  • Cancellation policy is as follows:
    Above 48 hours – free cancellations – full refund for any payments done.
    48 hrs to 24 hrs prior to trip 50% refund.
    24 hrs and less or no-show full payment retained. No refunds.
  • Passengers are strictly advised to listen to the safety protocols and advice given to all passengers whilst on and off the boat. This company will not be held responsible for any accidents arising due to negligence other than that arising if any due to negligence of the operator of the vessel.
  • This company will not be held liable for loss of personal items or belongings during trip. It is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure all personal items and equipment are with them at all times.
  • Passengers are advised to travel as light as possible with no sharp objects, weapons or illegal drugs.
  • Passengers qualifying for this trip must be 12 years and over and have medium level of fitness and endurance with no severe medical issues.
  • Any severe health allergies or medical issues must be advised truthfully whilst booking the trip.
  • Passengers are advised to bring some extra cash for lunch &drinks, entry fees and/or for some shopping of souvenirs on the islands.
  • It is most welcome and acceptable to tip our staffs if the service is appreciated.
  • Any passengers sensitive to seasickness are strongly advised to take motion sickness tablets or any similar prescription prior to trip. Some days the travelling time will extend slightly over one hour depending on changing sea conditions.
  • As a general rule Sea conditions will be calm around the months of February to April and October to December. Sea conditions will be rough in the months from May to September and occasionally in January.
We have a special transfer fee from hotel to boat and back to hotel after trip. This service will be free for guests residing north and central areas of mahe and up to sr 1000 total for furthest south areas of mahe. Payment must be made in cash directly to the driver not included in the package price.
Please ensure that if you are arriving by your own means of transport, that consideration is given to drive time to reach marine charter marina in Victoria on time for boarding.
Although we will cater for guests wishing to enter the valle de mai park on praslin, there is an entry fee of Euro 20 to be paid directly by guests and not included in package price, the park visit will consume the program time for the 3hrs allocated for this island. Most can be seen simply by driving by the park making short stops with detailed explanations from our guides. Allowing more time to enjoy Anse Lazio beach, encouraged by popular guest recommendations.
Entry fee to L’union estate is inevitable, as it is the entrance to one of the most interesting cultural area and beaches of la digue. Must be paid (Eur 7) directly by guests before entering at the gate.
It is very important for each guest to respect time plan as to respect entire group satisfaction.
